Hello Vandersteen Family!

We are reaching out to request your support in making the Silent Auction a resounding success. Your donations, no matter how big or small, will go a long way in helping us create lasting memories and celebrate our shared heritage

We encourage you to consider contributing unique items and crafts that showcase our family's creativity, talents, and interests. This could include handmade crafts, artwork, homemade preserves or baked goods, family heirlooms, or any other treasures that hold sentimental value. The more personalized and distinctive the items, the more memorable the auction will be!

In addition to personal creations, we also welcome new items, gift cards, lottery tickets, promotional items, or any other donations you may have access to through your work or community connections. These items will add an exciting variety to our auction and ensure that everyone finds something of interest.

If you would like to donate an item or have any questions regarding the Silent Auction, please reach out our friendly and talented auction volunteers, Mel (Imelda) Tobie mgtobie@shaw.ca 204-230-4615 or Susan Pickett at pickett2681@gmail.com 403-804-9277 We kindly request that you provide a brief description of the item you intend to donate and photo if possible.

Many hands make Light Work
Hello Family! As you know, the reunion has many activities and events packed into a single weekend! All of this requires the help from families at the reunion. We have specific tasks that require a helping hand at different moments. At the end of the weekend, All-Hands on deck for Monday Clean-up!!! If you would like to contribute to the smooth running of the reunion please contact our volunteer coordinator Alysha!
GOLF
If anyone would like to golf 9 holes on Sunday, Aug. 6th at 2 Pm, please email vandersteen.reunion@gmail.com by Wednesday, Aug 2nd Subject: Golf and in the email tell us the names of who will be golfing. We need to know how many people to book tee times for.
Memory Wall

We will be having a Memory Wall at the reunion again. Some volunteers will be creating a wall for the deceased members of the 12 Vandersteen siblings. Beside this wall will be a memory table for memories of other deceased Vandersteen family members. If you would like to remember someone, please bring a photo (max. size 4”x6”) and if you like, a short descriptive paragraph. When you arrive, feel free to add your photo and description to the table. We will have tape available to tape the description to the table.
Campground Details

Because we are such a large family and the campground space is limited we have Wayne Vandersteen! our Campsite Wrangler. He will tell you where is best to setup your camp tent or trailer. If you find yourself at Porky's Park and need to know what to do next, please call Wayne 204-280-0539

Once your tent or trailer is in place, please park your vehicle in the golf course parking lot. Throughout the weekend no vehicles are permitted in the campground.

There will be recycling bins in select locations in the campground. Please take your garbage to the garbage area near the entrance of the campground.

Please have your dogs leashed at all times. No free roaming

Please DO NOT run your Air Conditioning off of the campground power. We will have many more campers than Porky's Park was designed to hold and the power breakers will trip if we overload the power system. If you require AC in your camper, you must bring a generator to power it.

Campfires, if you wish to sit around a campfire in the evening, there is a communal fire area at the entrance of the campground for everyone to enjoy. In such close quarters, multiple campfires in the campground can create excessive amounts of smoke. This one large fire is a perfect opportunity for the late night social crowd to gather and leave a quieter, smoke free environment for those who wish to sleep.

The End

When it's all over and you're leaving the campground please drop your lanyard off at the gate.
